The Last Day

Tomorrow is my last day...the day before I (hopefully) become a mommy!

So...what will I do? Well I have a scan and an appointment with the consultant in the morning, then I am putting up my christmas decorations as I dont think it will be possible with a newborn in tow. Then I am going to try to chill and have a nice shower etc and spend my last evening alone with Aaron. I expect I'll spend it freaking out!!!!

A man is in hospital with severe internal injuries after trying to launch a powerful firework rocket from his backside.

Safety campaigners say they have never come across such a bizarre incident but it is thought the man, 22, could have been copying a scene from the controversial film Jackass: The Movie which shows a similar prank.

The incident in Sunderland was captured by a gang of youths and the fuzzy mobile phone footage shows a blinding white flash followed by hysterical laughter.

A spokeswoman for the North East Ambulance Service said: "We received a call stating there was a male who had a firework in his bottom and it was bleeding.
"He was attended to and taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital."

The victim is recovering at Sunderland Royal Hospital after sustaining horrific internal injuries including a scorched colon.

Safety experts on Thursday warned that misusing the explosives in such a senseless way can have serious consequences.

Police and paramedics were called to the Dame Dorothy Street area of Monkwearmouth, in Sunderland, after reports of the stunt.

The prank, involving a Black Cat Thunderbolt Rocket, has left safety officers bemused.

A spokesman for the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) said: "It's so unfortunate that someone is now paying the price for the misuse of fireworks. Let's not forget these are explosives. They come with specific instructions about how they should be used."

I'm fed up, bored, uncomfortable and generally boooooooooooooo.

I cant tell you how much i want to have my baby. I love him so much, I just want it to be December and him be here. Being home alone all day is pants. I harldy see anyone,I have nothing but housework to do and I am usually uncomfortable or in pain. I feel like an airship crossed with a heffer with a map of Birmingham engraved on my belly. My back, legs and insides hurt and I'm constantly tired.

I sooooooo want Christmas to come and my baby be here. I'm sick of being miserable and being onmy own all day :( I'm soooo glad when Aaron comes home from work every day!

I'll be 31 weeks tommorow and I'm fed up, bored and fat! Stroll on christmas when my little bundle will have arrived and I can get on with life without pain! Its so close yet so far. Someone asked me if I'd do it again today and I honestly don't know. I really really really am looking forward to meeting Charlie and holding my little buy but I really dont think I'll miss the whole pregnancy gig.

So what can I do to cheer myself up? Im pretty much stuck at home now with the SPD pain and being on crutches so boredom is setting in and I am sick of my 4 walls! Come on Charlie we all wanna meet you! (although not for a few weeks yet!)

Why does time go so slowly when you are waiting? Its like waiting for christmas...and in a way I am cos by then I wont have a person inside me! I do love the dea that I am giving my baby a home inside me and as long as he needs it he is welcome but I'll be much happier when I can hold him with my arms and not my very unappreciative stomach muscles!

The countdown is on (Only just over a week till my third trimester!)

Well......Ive hardly slept in my own bed for ages! And my back is telling me about it. I have been up to Whitby for a good old family holiday complete with a a visit to the set of heartbeat with me ol' nan! Whilst there we visited some steam railways stations etc and in all the gift shops were these little wooden trains you buy with each carriage havinga different letter to make up the childs name, well as we have been calling him Charlie for ages now, I gave in and bought a train that spelt Charlie so it looks like thats the name he is going to have when born...like it or not!

Since then we came home for a couple of days .....aaahhhhh my own bed....then travelled down to the good ol' west country to meet little baby isaac and catch up with Jamie and shaneen. We love those guys and it was good for me to see Shaneen in action for 24 hours.....I dont know how Im going to cope...and Isaac is a great baby! Oh well Im trying to domesticate Aaron so at least I wont hyave him to look after too lol!

We dropped in on Lisa too and saw her trendy new flat which was very funky and have a much refreshing drink of cloudy lemonade. Tristan I must comment that you have the largest selection of orange squash I have ever come accross!

Then we came to Burnham on Sea to see Aarons parents. Its great there, sea air, catching up with the family, home grown veg! all is good plus now Charlie is the proud owner of his first pair of Adidas trainers. I keep putting them on my fingers and walking them around lol!

Then we popped back to Weston-super-Mare to gatecrash a Sanctuary day out! That was fun, on the beach in gale force winds. So we went on the pier for a drink and these old ladies were sitting in the seats in the cafe and only eating icecream cones, so I stood nearby rubbing my bulging belly looking like I needed to sit down, but they didnt take the hint, so we sat on the pier instead watching some oversized old fellas flapping about in the sea looking like bears catching salmon!

At this precise second Aaron is making a trifle and we are still in burnham on sea..TRISTAN...this bit is for you as you missed out when we were in Bristol...we are going back on Wednesday!

The Results Are In....

We went for our 20 week scan today and all is looking good. Two arms, two legs etc. At one point the baby was ataking up a very Aaronesque pose on its back with one arm behind his head, chewing!! hehe

Aaron and I have broken up. That is to say we have finished work for the summer!

I was reminiscing with my boss today that when I was at schol, when we broke up for the summer that I would go homeon the last day, strip down to my swimming costume and jump in the paddling pool without fail! I would like to carry on that tradition but as I have a shared garden, albeit no one else uses it, the neighbours may stare in amazement at he beached whale in the paddling pool, so I will restrain myself and continue to suffer this heat!

Will report back next week (and who knows maybe even sooner) with more scn pics and hopefully a flavour! Hoorah

Roses are red

So Nicky just popped round on her way to church with a bunch of red roses for me. She wanted to cheer me up as Ive been under the weather and she is one of the priviledged Dudlians who knows I am pregnant. I havent quite let it slip up here yet and only a few know.

They are all being really nice to me because I have been unwell for a couple of weeks now but you know what...I feel like a big fraud. I mean I have actually been ill but I know some of the others have been too but they have been to church etc. I havent given up on everything this last couple of weeks but i have cried off a lot and I hate doing tht because I feel like Im letting folk down.

But Nicky is lovely and has taken on my PA duties for me this morning as well bless her.

Its back to work fo rme tomorrow and thats themain reason I have been in today. I want to conserve my energy for making it through as I am terrible being out of my house when im not feeling great. So please pray for me that I'll be ok and will be able to resume normal activities from no on :)

we are adding to the Sealey household...yes in December a little Aaron or little Emma will be joining us in the form of our baby......for I am with child!

It is very early days and we are both quite shocked as tihs was unexpected. On Tuesday I will be 7 weeks so I am still in the danger period for a few weeks and so really need your prayers.

Well I think thats enough for you to digest for now and I will be thee farewell until my ext blog :)

Today I have been involved in 3 fights. Some of the lads let their testosterone go to their fists and it all kicked off!. I cant say much cos of confidentiality but put it tis way twice (two seperate fights) I uttered the words, "you either calm down and let it go, or you punch me cos i'm not getting out of your way!"

I scare myself sometimes....situation was eventually diffed (all three occasions) but boy oh boy is all hell gonna break loose when i see their teachers tomorrow!

Another prayer request

I dont want to go into too much detail on here as their details are private. But another of my friends have been diagnosed with cancer. He isnt a christian and as much as he needs healing he needs salvation. Cancer is pretty bad and has spread already. Chemo is having an effect but major life altering surgery looms.

Pray for gods will, pray for peace and pray for salvation.

I'm running out of words and running out of emotions......i dont know i can cry anymore

You know the media is such a powerful tool, it has such ability to impact and change lives and it vertainly changed me today. I sat there weighing up whether i needed to know these thimngs for protection and awareness or whether more good should be reported in place of the bad....its a difficult decision and one Im glad i wont have to make. All I do know is that there are good tings out there ahppening all the time...we should talk about them more. Like Gods love, how he heals and answers prayer today. How there are still people who love each other and genuinely care.

I wont make any silly promises like im gonna spread joy every day of my life because i know i cant do it, but all of us together doing it everyso often has gotta make an impact.
